This was another successful convention - The Texas chapter did a great job and the facilities were excellent with everything in one location. Mary and Wilton with Karen and Mike are to be congratulated for joining the road tour and doing over 4000 miles through some extremely hot weather. In my mind they are the true winners of the longest distance award having done the trip in one shot. We received our 2001 Chapter certificate and the Chapter of the year awards were made to:
Small Chapter - Central New Jersey
Medium Chapter - Northern California
Large Chapter -shared by Carolina and the Southeast Chapters
There were about 100 cars judged, a qreat GM traveling Corvette display, interesting Tech sessions on Corvette photography, waxing, tops and interiors. Also the all day judging schools were very popular. Convention Chairman Gil Scrivner was kind enough to announce the Québec Regional at the membership meeting and Québec publicity brochures were handed out everyone was enthusiastic about visiting St. Sauveur next year.. 

Ce fut une autre convention sensasionnelle - le chapître du Texas a fait un trés bon travail et les installations étaient excellentes avec tout le nécessaire en un seul endroit. Mary et Wilton avec Karen and Mike doivent étre félicités pour s'étre joint A la randonnée et d'avoir conduit 4000 milles parfois sous des températures extrémement chaudes. Selon moi, ils sont les vrais gagnants du trophée pour la plus grande distance parcourue I'ayant fait dans une seule tentative. Nous avons regu notre certificat Chapitre 2001 et les récompenses de chapitre furent décernées : Petit Chapitre - Central New Jersey, Chapitre Moyen - Northern California et Grand Chapitre - partagé entre Carolina et les chapitres Southeast. 11 y eut environ 100 autos A juger, un superbe étalage de Corvette de voyage GM, session Tech. intéressante, photographies Corvette, cirages, toits et intérieurs. Les écoles de jugement journaliéres furent également trés populaires. Le président de la convention Gil Scrivner fut trés gentil en annonçant la Régionele du Québec lors de la réunion des membres et les brochures de publicité du Québec furent distribuées. Tout le monde était enthousiaste pour visiter St - Sauveur l'année prochain.
